NABP DDA (VAWD) 2025 Pricing Changes Announced
The National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) just announced pricing changes effective December 18, 2024, for their Drug Distributor Accreditation program.
NABP’s Drug Distributor Accreditation plays a role in preventing counterfeit drugs and devices from entering the United States medical supply. It’s also required in certain states to complete this accreditation to obtain state licensing.
Two Phases for Accreditation
The NABP Drug Distributor Accreditation (NABP DDA fka VAWD) program consists of two phases. First, the Supply Chain Inspection (SCI), followed by the Accreditation (DDA) phase.
These are two separate applications and fees.
The old pricing will remain in effect until 6:00 pm CST on December 18, 2024.
Changes to Pricing
Pricing for Phase 1, the Supply Chain Inspection (SCI), has increased $900. Here is the breakdown of pricing changes:
- App Fee has increased from $1,000 to $2,200
- Inspection Fee has decreased from $5,000 to $4,300
- Eligibility Fee has increased from $1,000 to $1,400
- Total for the SCI process has increased from $7,000 to $7,900
Pricing for Phase 2, the Drug Distributor Accreditation (DDA), has increased $1,220. Here is the breakdown of pricing changes:
- App Fee has increased from $1,500 to $3,280
- Year 1 Fee decreased from $1,000 to $440
- Total for the DDA process has increased from $2,500 to $3,720
The fees outlined above are just for the first year of the accreditation. The NABP DDA is a 3-year accreditation and there are additional fees that are paid for the 2nd and 3rd year. Those prices have changed as well.
